In the center, the monogram of Christ, with the Greek letters X (chi) and P (rho), the first two letters of the name of Christ in Greek.
On white background, because Christ is the light of the World (Jn. 8:12).
At bottom left, on green background, the shamrock. Reminder of Saint Patrick, the great Irish missionary, and thus of the transmission of the faith from Ireland. Patrick is the second name of Bishop Serge Poitras. The shamrock was also used by St. Patrcik in the catechesis on the Most Holy Trinity (one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
White, green and red are the colors of the theological virtues (faith, hope and charity) as presented by St. John of the Cross.
Motto: DOMINUS IESUS CHRISTUS (Phil. 2:11)
